Compare: done-for-you short-form video

Done-for-you shorts. Who does which part, and what it costs.

Done-for-you short-form video comes in three kinds: editing services like $99 Social ($99–$629/month, checked October 2026), repurposing services like SendShort ($149–$799/month) and agencies (hundreds to thousands a month). All three still need footage from somewhere: your clips, your long videos, stock footage, or you on camera. NoShotList, an AI video producer, gets the footage from a 10–15 minute conversation and does the rest for $49/month, about 12 shorts.

The short version

What “done for you” short-form video actually covers

Every short-form video takes five jobs: picking the topic, deciding what to say, filming, editing (cuts, captions, sound) and posting. “Done for you” can mean any of them. The services below each take a different set, so before you compare prices, compare who does what:

From each provider’s own pages, checked October 2026 ($99 Social, SendShort) and September 2026 (LYFE Marketing). Plans change: check each one before you buy.

Read the “Filming” row twice. It’s the one row every service handles differently, and it decides what your shorts look like.

What done-for-you short-form video costs

Competitor prices are their published plans, not quotes. NoShotList prices are its own.

NoShotList Solo$49/month, or $36/month billed yearlyAbout 12 captioned shorts a month, from about 4 sessions10–15 minutes of talking per session, then review and posting

Per video, $99 Social’s plans work out to about $21–25 a video, and a freelance editor to roughly $24–38 a short. NoShotList Solo is about $4 a short. But the price per video isn’t the biggest difference between these options. The footage is.

The catch: someone still has to supply the footage

A done-for-you editing service edits what it’s given. Send $99 Social nothing, and it makes your videos from premium stock footage: you get videos, but not videos of you. SendShort cuts shorts out of long videos, so it only helps if you already record a podcast, webinars or YouTube videos. An agency can bring a camera, but a short of you talking still needs you in front of it.

For a small business, the shorts that build trust are usually the owner talking: why your quote is higher than the other guy’s, the question every customer asks, the corner you’ll never cut. No service can record that without you. What a service can do is make the recording easy, and that’s the job most of them leave to you.

If you’re the bottleneck because you never know what to say, read how to talk on camera without a script. If it’s nerves, start with how to get over camera shyness.

How NoShotList does “done for you”

NoShotList is an AI video producer. It takes four of the five jobs and turns the fifth, the talking, into a conversation:

  1. Remy does the research

He learns your business from your website or a quick chat, studies the short-form videos that took off in your niche, and plans three shorts before you sit down.

  2. You talk for 10–15 minutes

At your computer, with your phone propped right beside the screen. Remy asks one question at a time and suggests a way in when you stall. No script to memorize, no shot list.

  3. The editing is done for you

Your best takes are cut, the “ums” and long pauses trimmed, captions added, and your own spoken hook goes on the title card. Remy sizes each short to what works in your niche.

  4. You review and post

About 3 vertical shorts come back from each session, ready to review. Download them and post them wherever you want: Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook or LinkedIn.

  1. RemyWhat’s the question every customer asks you first?
  2. YouProbably “how long is this going to take?”
  3. RemyGood. Answer it the way you would on the phone with them.
  4. YouMost jobs take two weeks. The ones that take longer are the ones where somebody skipped the prep.
An example exchange. Remy adapts his questions to your business and your customers.

Your voice is never synthesized, and your words are never spliced into a claim you didn’t make. Every short is you, saying what you said.

Questions

What is a done-for-you short-form video service?

A service that takes some or all of the work of making short videos off your plate: picking topics, filming, editing, captions and posting. They differ in which parts they take. Editing services like $99 Social edit footage you send (or stock footage), repurposing services like SendShort cut shorts from your long videos, and agencies can plan, produce and post.

How much does done-for-you short-form video cost?

From about $99 a month to several thousand. $99 Social runs $99/month for 4 videos up to $629/month for 30, and SendShort $149–$799/month (both checked October 2026). LYFE Marketing’s agency plans run $500–$1,400/month (checked September 2026). NoShotList is $49/month for about 12 shorts, or $36/month billed yearly.

Do I have to be on camera for done-for-you shorts?

Only if the shorts should show you. An editing service can make videos from stock footage, and a repurposing service uses long videos you already have. But a short of you talking needs you talking. NoShotList makes that part easy: Remy asks the questions while your phone films, for 10–15 minutes a session.

Is NoShotList really done for you if I still have to talk?

Everything but the talking is. Remy researches your business and your niche, picks the topics, asks the questions and suggests a way in when you stall; the editing, captions and title cards are automatic. You talk for 10–15 minutes, review about 3 shorts, and post them.

Does NoShotList post my videos for me?

No. Your shorts arrive ready to review; you download them and post them yourself. If you want posting handled, $99 Social offers it as an option, SendShort’s plans include it, and agencies usually do it. You can also hand NoShotList’s finished files to any of them.

What’s the cheapest done-for-you short-form video option?

Per short, NoShotList: about 12 shorts for $49/month on Solo, roughly $4 a short. $99 Social’s plans work out to about $21–25 a video, and typical freelance editing to roughly $24–38 a short. The trade-off is that NoShotList shorts are you talking, so you spend 10–15 minutes on camera per session.

Stop putting it off. Start talking.
